Voyage of Discovery:

with his eldest son Fritz and their dog Turk went to explore the island.

b) The narrator’s dog, Turk killed the monkey.
c) The narrator smiled because the young monkey whose mother
had been killed by Turk
sprung nimbly on Fritz’s shoulders and fastened his feet in
his stiff curls. Despite Fritz’s
cries and vigorous shaking the monkey did not let go of its
hold.
d) Jack was filled with amusement when he saw the monkey
whereas, little Franz was
hesitant to touch it and was more interested in knowing if
his father and brother had
brought something more interesting for him, other than the
monkey.
e) A dozen jackals had surrounded the narrator’s dogs. The
barking of the dogs and the
commotion of the fowls outside his tent awakened the
narrator from his sleep.
